Safety Executive

Responsible for the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security
and Environmental (QHSSE) matters on-board vessels and head
office. The position entails managing, complying to and
maintaining internal codes/procedures and familiarity with ISM/
ISPS Code, ISO 9001 and related activities in regards to safety. In
addition, the ISM Executive will manage safety inspections,
unannounced audits, internal/external audits for the vessels
assigned to. This is to include that the documentation for the entire
fleet is in order per the ISM and ISPS code, review and
maintenance of the ISM, and making recommendations as
needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible in managing, complying to and maintaining
company internal code and procedures, ISM and ISPS Code and
related activities in regards to safety in the highest standards
2. Responsible in managing safety inspections, unannounced
audits, internal and external audits, of related department and the
entire fleet in accordance to the ISM and ISPS Code to the highest
standards, safely manner and cost efficient manner
3. Responsible in managing, complying and maintaining
documentation and filing system of related department in
accordance to the ISM and ISPS Code in the highest standards
4. Responsible in ensuring the entire fleet documentation and filing
system is in accordance to the ISM and ISPS Code in the highest
standards
5. Responsible in maintaining and analyzing the effectiveness of
the ISM and ISPS Code, of related departmental, and the entire fleet
by identifying opportunities to optimize departmental effectiveness
through procedures and providing recommendation for making
required changes
6. Responsible to plan for personnel training related ISM and ISPS
Code including technical and non-technical training with external
training institution/organization
7. Responsible in setting up in-house training for matters related to
ISM and ISPS Code for the entire fleet
8. Responsible to manage individual vessel’s expenditure for the
entire fleet and departmental budget within the approved budget
9. Responsible in liaising with external organisation for successful
and positive implementation of ISM and ISPS Code for the entire
fleet
10. To assist the Fleet manager in special task/projects assigned
not related to ISM and ISPS Code
11. To assist the Fleet Manager on all other business, task and
projects of the company, including branding of company identity
12. Travel for shipboard inspection/training required.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum 3 years related experience in Oil/ Gas Industry
2. Internal Auditor Certificate
3. Experience handling vessel-related audits
